Digital Learning and Meal Pick Up

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

Students: I am so proud of the way you are participating in digital learning! I have heard GREAT reports from your teachers and principals. I know there are some spring activities you will miss while we are out of school, but I’m so glad you can continue to connect with your teachers and friends digitally. Generals, Tigers, and Warriors, you have really impressed me with your great attitudes and excellent independent work ethic!

Parents: I appreciate your cooperation and support to make sure that your child is participating in digital learning. We have a technology support team in place to take calls if you need help with your child’s digital device. The contact numbers are based on your child’s school, so please visit: www.catoosa.k12.ga.us, Parent Quick Links, Extended Closure Plans. You will also find resources for Chromebook Care and Instructions and iPad Care and Instructions in this section. I know digital learning is a new experience for you and your child, and I want you to know we are here to support you.

Families – Meal Pickup: To comply with the most recent federal guidelines, meal pickup will be slightly different on Monday, March 23, 2020. To prevent the potential spread of the Coronavirus, we are complying with the guidelines to avoid meeting in groups of ten or more. Preparing the food bags we made available this week requires more than ten volunteers in one place. On Monday, we will have food available for one week of meals, and each family will pack their own box for their children. Details as follows:

Monday, March 23, 2020

Meal Pickup:

Option #1: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

LFO High School, 1850 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe

CCPS Transportation Dept., 175 Cassidy Circle, Ringgold (behind Cracker Barrel)

Option #2: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (while supplies last)

I am not surprised by the community support I have received during this time of crisis because I have experienced this time and time again. I would like to say how much I appreciate our students, parents, employees, community members, and business leaders. This is “uncharted territory” for the school system, and I want you to know that I truly appreciate your encouragement and support. We will get through this together!!
